Jukebox

One of the joys of finding TerraLuna was I engaged with other sims enthusiasts.  And one of them reminded me of an integral part of The Sims, the music.  So as I reinstalled all my sims expansions from scratch, I went and found all the music including the unique loading loops for each expansion.

Through a lot of comparisons on varying sites and the commercial releases, I was able to name and find artists for almost every track.  After organizing them into albums, none of them had a cover to go with.  And as I have dabbled in cover creating, I decided to do so for each one.  It was a lot of fun and here they are for you to enjoy.

A few provisos first.  I used the original The Sims logo across each album because there was no high quality version of the expansion logos that I could find.  I did match the logo colors for each game.  You might recognize some colors and themes.  It was a blast creating these.  And here they are for your viewing/downloading pleasure:

The Sims (Base Game):

The Sims: Livin' Large:

The Sims: House Party

The Sims: Hot Date

The Sims: Vacation

The Sims: Unleashed

The Sims: Superstar

The Sims: Makin' Magic

I'm very grateful for SML Designs for creating SIMLLHP font.

Late Check-In

Hey everybody,

Real post update this time.  No Turbo the sim, just me.  Late last year, I was having a very difficult time with the pandemic.  I wouldn't be able to visit family, I was stressed out and I didn't know what to do.  So, I picked up every hobby I had in the past 20 years.  Yes, literally EVERY hobby.  This included The Sims.  We all deal with life stressors in our own way and that was one of mine.

It was a lot of fun coming back and relearning the coding aspect and learning more than I did the first time around.  Also finding familiar names and people I knew from before and even meeting some new people.  I played with things for a while, and reminiscent to when I left The Sim community the first time, I was working with sprites (which I hate passionately) and realized that area is so frustrating for me I'd rather stick to coding on the back end.  That and my rug creator broke.  There are a number of projects I shelved as a result.

So I put things on pause and decided to come back later.  We'll, we're almost a year past then.  I did not delete everything this time around and it is safely on my hard drive, no backup discs, so I can revisit it.

In time I still plan to update my original bases by removing excess sprites and coding and enhance them a bit here and there.  But next time, and I'll be scheduling the update after I submit this post, something a little different.
