About Turbo

Hi, I'm Turbo.

I've been playing the Sims for a long time, but this is the first time you've seen me.  When I started playing the Sims, I was a young lad.  I played the original game and then moved on to The Sims 2 and The Sims 3.  I barely remember my days in The Sims 2, but here I am in The Sims 3.

Ah yes, those college days.  How I remember those, it seems like it was only yesterday.  As time went on, I left The Sims altogether.  But then...2020 happened.  (Enough said.)

So I decided to play The Sims 4, but it didn't have half as much as TS3 had and I remembered how much fun I had.  And then...The Sims 1 came back to mind.

Upon connecting with an old friend, she referred me to an active Sims 1 forum.  So I logged in and found a few friends.

But then curiosity happened.  Did I still have the original game?  While flipping through an old folder of CDs and DVDs I found my original downloads, FAR files and set up for The Sims 1.  Literally, right where I left everything.

I found old bases I never finished, others I had finished but never released and some fun pictures and memories.  I don't remember whether it was a challenge or just for fun but I found reminders of my sim nightmare.

After reinstalling the game, I decided to move back in.

A lot of the houses in the sims world have been abandoned.  So I found a good empty house, the previous occupants mostly abandoned it as there are only a few objects here and there.  And now I have taken it as my new home.

I'll definitely need to update it as I get more comfortable in the neighborhood.  But at least there are still a few old friends.  Even the Newbies.  It looks like they haven't aged a day.  For my current home, I took the library...

...and with a bit of updating, turned it into my workshop.

Who knows what happens next, but I'm looking forward to it.  See you around.
